military diesel generator

i don't know much about these this was a project my dad was working on he had it running it sounded good to me when it did run. hasn't ran for almost 10 years now so it will need some TLC to get it running again.it will most likely need new batteries ,fuel,oil changed,etc .i'm still looking to see what type of diesel engine is on it that should be worth the asking price?
