This crossmember will not fit convertibles or El Caminos due to their boxed frame rails, nor will it fit 1968-72 GTOs and LeMans applications with a rubber mounted crossmember. If you plan to install this crossmember on a 1972 Monte Carlo please measure the distance across the frame or crossmember bolt holes. If the distance is approximately 53.5 in. this is the correct crossmember.
