Tandberg 9000x Series Reel to Reel Player, powers up but functionality unknown

I have had this old reel to reel player in my basement just using it as a decoration, but it powers up and the reel does spin, but I have no idea if it actually would play tape.

I guess even the parts for these can be fairly valuable, so Im pricing it as if its parts only.
